Missionaries and Mission Work

The Elders at Washington Avenue believe that the church has a responsibility to preach the gospel in as many places as finances will permit. Washington Avenue currently supports mission work both in the US and abroad.

"In Search of the Lord's Way"- We support Phil Sanders (Edmond, OK) with “In Search of the Lord’s Way,” which is a cable network program consisting of a gospel message and congregational singing.

Memphis School of Preaching- We believe that men must be trained to preach the Word. We support students at the Memphis School of Preaching in their two-year training.

Tri-Cities School of Preaching and Christian Development- We support students enrolled in the Tri-Cities School of Preaching and Christian Development in Elizabethton, TN. This is a two-year course of study.

www.orphanslifeline.org -  The mission is to provide food, shelter, medical care, children’s Bibles, educational assistance, adoption advocacy and more in a manner that breaks the cycle of dependence and promotes individual and societal productivity as well as charitable character with the community.

The following men are missionaries we support in working to spread the gospel outside of the US.

     Duke Brown- Jamaica

     Jacques Small- Jamaica

     Edward Manimtim- Canada

     Ronnie Gootam- India
